I was in CA last week and snapped a few photos for you folks.

I was there a couple of times earlier this year, if you want to see the photos of the cars in the main yard, look here:

I like this old Cady Limo with the horns on the trunk!   :yesnod:

Shakey

I have kinda struck a friendship with the owner.  I've stopped by a few times and he is a good guy.  Normally they don't let anyone out in the yard by themselves but for some reason, he trusts me.   :shruggy:

There is another yard he owns close by that he doesn't even let his employees in because he is saving all of these cars.  Why - I dunno!  Anyways, he let me poke around a bit and take some photos.

Shakey

A few more.

Shakey

For the morbid crowd!

Yeah - I wire wheel them as I need them, then a coat of primer and then paint.  Of course if you do this, you'll have to touch them up after tightening them in place.

Eastwood's also make a "blackening" kit for them, if they need to be black in colour.

I've heard of people using a rock tumbler to clean them up also or there is a place that is not too far that can acid dip them.

tan top - these things are always good to pick up off the ground when you're at a yard.  Ya can never have enough!   :yesnod:

I would say Yes.  You are the man.  How cool would it be to own one of those?  That would be party central... Gosh i miss my old Limo...

It's cool and all but it can get very hot there.

Last Summer I was there, 104* and no shade in sight.

This trip, I spent 4 hours there and it was a comfortable 92*, and there was still no shade.

I'm not really the type tp lay on the beach to get some sun, so this was a pefrect opportunity.  Had the shirt off and just strolled around the yard taking it all in.

I did have to avoid the colleauges questions after coming back from a business trip with a tan!   :D
