What do you guys do about bad fuel?

Since gas prices are so freak'in high, I notice that when I get 93 for one of the cars, it seems like the gas is old and isn't burning correctly.   I would expect that high octane sales are really down to people saving on 87 even though some newer cars require 89 or 93.

You guys put in just a fuel stabilizer or a booster also?   Depending on compression I would expect...

I think I'm going to try midgrade instead of premium this year and see if it causes any pinging.  I rarely have it over 3500 rpm anyway.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Are you saying you got bad fuel from the station?

You guys DO realize that there is no MIDGRADE fuel being refined at the factories, right? The gas STATIONS mix regular fuel with the high octane to make the mid grade ON SITE. If you think that you are finding a way around using High Octane, you are incorrect.
Fuel is stored in tanks UNDERground and is very stable for several weeks, even months. A slow selling gas station will still have high quality gasoline for awhile.
