If painting a white vinyl roof black, does it still come out alright like if I were to buy a black vinyl? Is there a special vinyl paint for this?

Have never done that myself but I don't see why you couldn't dye it. Don't know how well it would hold up to the elements since those dyes are meant for interiors. Go to your local automotive refinishers store and pick their brains.
A Fact of Life: After Monday and Tuesday even the calendar says WTF.........
