I wish I had a picture, but back in the late 70's around east Fresno/Clovis there was a sparkly metallic green 68 R/T with Cragar rims, a slight rake, and custom gold pinstriping all over. I thought it was kinda cool back then. The lic plate read HOTLUVER. (ha ha ha- it was so 70's) Anyone know about this one? I wonder whatever happened to it.  ???

Yes but your taste in looks is suspect ever since you admitted to thinking the Citroen is a good looking car. :D

::) The R/T is bad  Sucks it got parted out too.

I lke this a lot!  :yesnod: All it is, is that color change paint.

The '66 was owned by a paint and body guy from this area.  There was about $4,000. just in paint-EVERYTHING got painted-even the dash-IT WAS AWESOME!! Then some jerks stole the six-pack off it, so he sold it.  It was painted like back in '97 or'98. IT RAN as good as it looked too!!!

Brock Samson

Fuggly Chargers? Look I might live in Arkansas but I wasn't born in here, And I know when I have been insulted. If you can call your shelf a true car lover you should know how others feel about there cars. You know it's like saying man you wife sure is fat bitch or how about man those sure are some ugly kids you have there. Hey if you have a opinion that's great but have the balls to say to their face and not hide behind your keyboard.  If you think you might muster up the courage  to do so you should be ready for a not so pleasant response :flame:

Don't feel to bad 68flame.  My car made the list too.  Lucky me!  :icon_smile_blackeye:
1968 Charger -currently spread all over my garage!

As regards the white AVRO Arrow paint job, the former owner,.. (he sold it early this year) recreated the paint job because his father (I belive) was personally involved in the Canadian Jet,.. which if you read the internet materal, was at least ten years ahead of it's time and quite suddenly canceled for apparently political reasons... alot of folks connected with that program are still quite upset yet proud of what was at the time (the late '50s) a great source of national pride...

a further reading of the Arrow material on the web revealed that a rollout of a recreated Avro Arrow is scheduled for early Oct. this yr..

WE WILL NOW RETURN TO THE TOPIC OF "BAD PAINT JOBS"... Sorry for the hijack..  :icon_smile_wink:

the other chargers mostly seem to be represenitive of the era in which they were painted,...
some simply cry out the '70 and '80s... tastes change,.. folks arn't putting centerlines on their rides any more either...
   (i like them BTW).

The Arrow is still owned by the member who built it. The car is top notch and looks spectacular. I helped Dave drop the new 440 in her awhile back after the first rebuild suffered massive failures. I spoke with Dave recently and he was taking the car to an airshow dedicated the Avro Aero to which this car is dedicated. I believe Dave's grandpa was involved with the original project.  :icon_smile_cool:

Fwiw, i like 68 flame's Charger....old school is cool

Me too! I know he was talking of selling it a while back, when things were getting tight. I'm glad he was able to hold onto it.

yeah,..  less IS more..  :-\

The Heartbreakers & Tom Petty - Too Much Ain't Enough Lyrics
(Tom Petty)
Looks like you got a little more to lose
Now little more at stake
I see you had a hard time
Livin' with the change
You got me on the line
Now tryin' to call your bluff
But you just won't be satisfied
Too much ain't enough

It ain't enough, it ain't enough

Yeah, you're standing by the telephone
Waiting for the word
And ever since that bathroom scene
There's been a slight concern
I'm tryin' to make this easy baby
You seem to like things rough
You just can't be satisfied
Too much ain't enough

Too much ain't enough
Too much ain't enough
Come on baby I'm down on my knees
Guess some little pill just can't be pleased

Little miss queen of hearts you are a strange thing
Why you wanna make so vague
I'm wanderin' through this mess you made
To see what I can save
I'm livin' on the line now
Tryin' to call your bluff
But you just won't be satisfied
Too much ain't enough
Too much ain't enough
Too much ain't enough
