Not that any of these cars are awful (or mine for that matter), I just gotta wonder what the owners were thinking when they committed to having their cars sprayed like this? :icon_smile_blackeye:

im guna say the yellow an black was how they fixed the paint when they repaired the lower 1/4s and rockers around here in the late 80s, no matching to the somewhat faded but still ok origional paint, yet you dont have to do a full repaint

I know what they were thinking...Puff puff pass  :icon_smile_approve:
Car's got a lot of pickup. It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

A FEW OF THOSE CARS BELONG TO GUYS ON THE SITE...

THANKS! i GOT SOME GREAT IDEAS FOR MY CARS!!  :icon_smile_cool:

Nacho-RT74

I'm pretty sure this one is an old board member from  belgium or holland, and is owner of a GL too.

and I think this one is from old board member. At least I remember this pic. and really like a lot:

and I have to admit I like this ones same as two above:

IMHO, these 4 really look killers. You can like or not, but they are very good quality and clean lines and finish jobs.

I'm don't like the rest, specially last and first 68s, the 71, and the green "harlied" one.

Pretty sure the red and blue 25s ones are same owner or at least red was cloned on to blue by another guy. Shares same design even non matching curves, and obviouslly same number.

I can take pics of one 73 and one 71 that both would win the worts painting job of all, but both cars are about 2 hours from home. I'll try to go someday to that city with a digital camera.

COKE

Mopars are not like the Chevys
Anything out of his own  personality make them uglies like the feet of another guy.
One of the ugliest Chargers i have seen is the one on the "Dirty Mary Crazy larry" film.
That stripe on the side is awfull!!!
Also the "B" pillar  chrome trin on a car with out the Vinyl top does not look fine.
It is only my opinion.

TruckDriver

I really like this one for a race car :yesnod:  But I dont think any of the other paint jobs are that bad. I like most of them. Better then just a half primer, half painted car.

THIS is a board member from Canada. The car was painted like this because of a airplane (I forget which)

This is the only one I honestly do NOT like at all :icon_smile_dead:

PETE

My Dad taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!" :P

terrible one

I actually like some of these. The one with the woman laying on it is cool to me, as are some of the others.

41husk

I should post my 73 up here it's not bad scheme wise but quality has to be up there with the worst.

Yes it was from a guy named Clemon, he was from Holland and he had a General Lee. Clemon is dead now. He had a car accident awhile ago.

MOPARHOUND!

Lose the side pipes, and the Silver/Black flamed 68 would be killer.

What a neighborhood, check out the big barns in the background.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

As regards the white AVRO Arrow paint job, the former owner,.. (he sold it early this year) recreated the paint job because his father (I belive) was personally involved in the Canadian Jet,.. which if you read the internet materal, was at least ten years ahead of it's time and quite suddenly canceled for apparently political reasons... alot of folks connected with that program are still quite upset yet proud of what was at the time (the late '50s) a great source of national pride...

a further reading of the Arrow material on the web revealed that a rollout of a recreated Avro Arrow is scheduled for early Oct. this yr..

                    here:
             http://www.avroarrow.org/

tech specs with the results of the Jets innovations:

nice painting:

WE WILL NOW RETURN TO THE TOPIC OF "BAD PAINT JOBS"... Sorry for the hijack..  :icon_smile_wink:

the other chargers mostly seem to be represenitive of the era in which they were painted,...
some simply cry out the '70 and '80s... tastes change,.. folks arn't putting centerlines on their rides any more either...
   (i like them BTW).

My eye, my eyes, they burn!

That second white monstrosity has got to be the ugliest by far.

What the hell were they thinking?

i like ths black 68 with the side pipes and flames. if i remember correctly , that car was from England.
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

I'm with Wakko, I like those 25's too. ;D

Here's a few I've collected, the first one's a local guy.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
