Is this really a question? One is a Mopar, one isn't.

Easy answer.

BUY THE CHARGER, AND DUMP THE CHEVY. Its a bow tie, they are a dime a dozen. If you decide you wanted to keep it, then you can always find another 1,000 of them to replace it.

Hey Charger_Fan that photo was taken at Brooklands in England. It was the worlds first Super Speedway which should be of some interest to this forum. It was about a 2.5 mile high banked oval built in the late 1800's situated just south of London. It was built in a very short time I forget all the details but is a very very cool place. The main push to get it built was the wife of a rich bussiness man, and women were not even permitted to drive at the time. It was the world center for speed, many records were set and broken there. It preceeded Indy by several years. There are workshops still there where Colin Campbell built his famous Bluebird world speed record cars, which he eventually brought to Bonneville etc. It has an airstrip where secrect testing was done as well as an atmosphere (a large kinda decompression chamber looking thing where temp and pressure can be regulated from about 115* down to -60* and sealevel to 40,000 feet) where top secret experiments were conducted from the late 30's until the 70's. Sorry to kidnap the thread, but I found the Deloreon stuff very interesting, and when I saw the photo at Brooklands I had to let you all know a little about it. Google it.

Keep them all... The 57' is a very cool car and will allways bring the money. The DMC is by far a better car to keep for resale value in the future and the Charger would make a nice ASS KICKER..

By the way, GHOST, when wasn't it cool to drive a MOPAR??   :scared:  I have never heard such a thing..  :rotz:

Back N Black

Not knowing the difference between a 55,56 and 57 Belair to a Chevy guy is like not knowing the difference between a 68,69,70 Charger to a Mopar guy.
I think you should paint the Belair orange and 01 on the door ,that way you have the best of both worlds.
My opinion and a buck fifty will get you a coffee down town.

Ghoste

Around where I live, it wasn't considered cool until they became too expensive for the average guy to drive.  I suppose it really depends on who gets to define what is cool but I took a lot of back talk from the many Furd and Chebby fans around here for too many years.  It's really sad that my cars being rarer and faster (not to mention better styled and engineered) didn't impress them as much as insane auction prices on a stupid reality show. ( and I for one, definitely rate the B-J Auction down there with Survivor or Celebrity Fool Dancing or whatever)

BMOTOXSTAR

This post has to be a joke. Are you for real? That is like asking a Harley rider if he would trade his bike for a Rice Rocket.Must be smokin' some of that Maui Wowie.

I don't think there is any joke here. Sure we are all MOPAR fans or we would not be here.. That doesn't mean that there aren't other cool cars. I appreciate most all American cars and a few others as well. Hell, if I had money I would own a Tucker, Willeys, Hudson and a host of others. I might just slip in a few Chevy's and, well, maybe one Ford. I would even round the coral off with an Aston Martin.

Of course if I had REAL MONEY,,,,,,,, I would hire some of our major talents from right here on this board to build and run a full machine shop and test track with fairgrounds. Maybe we would even have a bar and call it a club.

Sounds good, yes??  Now all we need is about 10 million bucks to get it all started..  :yesnod:

I'd take the GL and immediately cover it until I could get it painted for public viewing.

I watched the show when I was younger and enjoyed it, however I would be embarassed driving around in a car painted like that or even to have it in my driveway. Just my 2 cents. I just don't get the whole GL thing.  :ahum:

See I feel just the opposite.  I don't understand how anybody could not want a General Lee.  Its just so much fun.  I guess it depends on your personality type.  I am a big fan of movie cars. My other daily driver is a 1981 DeLorean complete with flux capacitor.  :icon_smile_tongue:

I thought I would post a couple pics of my General Lee.  I sold the 57 Chevy and found my GL on ebay.  It arrived yesterday.  I absolutly love it.  What do you think?  Did I make the right decision? :icon_smile_wink:

No, i sold the 57 chevy.  If I was a rich man I would have kept it.  Two old cars is plenty.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

It just kinda worked out smoothly.  I sold the Chevy locally to a friend of mine.  He even let me keep driving the 57 for a couple more weeks until my Charger arrived.  I have been looking for a good (west coast) GL for about 8 months, a nice one is hard to find.  This one needs a little bit of work but its definitely different from the 57.  Im going from about 175 horses in the chevy, to nearly 600 in the GL.  YeeeHaaa!
