Look what happened here.  I was out to eat with my wife for our anniversary and I came home to this.  I guess a guy leaving the house accross the alley backed into my garage.  He is 83 and he says he had his foot on the brake but it wasn't working  He also said he only did a little damage to the door.  The car had the brake set and was in gear and he still managed to push it over the parking block and ahead about two feet. :flame:

Ohh I've been on the phone with everybody :icon_smile_big:, you can count on that.  My insurance said they'll be sending out an appraiser shortly.  His insurance is also sending out someone to look at it as well.  What a pain in the A$$ :-X

Man, that sucks! It's bad enough that you have to worry about morons on the road with a classic car. I hope you get it all taken care of without too much hassle.

I'm curious to see what the dollar amount of damage will be.  I think the rear valance will need to be replaced as well as the panel around the brake lights.  I haven't seen them available???  I'm not sure what's up the the rear decklid.  The front valance is dented which also damage the left front fender.  Not to mention that both bumpers were damaged as well. :'(

Chrome the bumpers, paint the whole car....How about pain and suffering!

I hope you can work it out, sorry to hear your troubles!

That does suck, but Tan Top's right, it could have been worse...like what happened to this guy! :'(

He had it parked in front of his house & his neighbor came home drunk.
If it was me, that would be one DEAD neighbor! :icon_smile_dead:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I have both his insurance and mine to come and look at it.  Even if I claim it on my insurance my company will go after his and go after the money along with my deductable.  I know that the damage to the garage is being covered under my homeowners.

Still sucks, though.  Like you said, it isn't even safe in your garage.

No matter that you will probably get enough money from the insurance co. to fix the damage but it is still just a pain in the ass. It just sucks, but not much you can do about it. Happy anniversary though.

That is just sickening.  :'(

I hope everything works out OK for you. Maybe the door slowed him down some or the damage could have been worse.
