I was just thinking about this thread since I heard this song for the first time a little while ago.

Stroker's Theme
by Charlie Daniels Band
album:
stroker ace was born to race
had a mean streak two feet wide
a son of a gun with a taste of fun
and more than his share of pride

take a dirt road curve with with the devils nerve
and make the car dance across the mud
and all that shine was the regular line
'til the track got in his blood

he was a real hot shot
and he bragged a lot
but man that boy could drive
'cause he loved that feel
of the stearing wheel
and the girls with the bedroom eyes.

And a race any time or a bar room fight
ol' Stroker stole the show
a back streached blazer a real hell raiser
and a race track Romeo

Mama lock your daughters up
that wild bunch is back in town
and them little girls get friskey when
they hear that racecar sound

their bringin out that yellow flag
somebodys breaks have failed
there's a oil slick on the inside
and a wreck on the rail
better stand on the stroker
cause a bandits on your tail

its a down right joy for a country boy
when he hears them engines moan
but you gotta hang tough
and it gets real rough
when your out there on your own

cause they will push you
around and knock you down
and they'll shove you up against the wall
and you always know when the engin blows
that a man cant win 'em all

you can push that car just a little too far
any sunday afternoon and if you break your neck
in some damn fool wreck they'll forget  about you soon
but old Stroker Ace was born to race

and it was worth all the tryin'
just to drink champaine the victory lane
and to hear that concrete whine

Stroker get your dander up this
aint no time to lag
you got to make a lap up if your
gonna take that checkerd flag

Number 10 is closing in to even up the score
its time to wave bye bye and put the petel on the board
You better stand on the Stroker
cause your blowin' off their doors

blow they're doors off storker...
stand on 'em son...
You good lookin' devil you...

Now I really need to get a 4.5 inch crank for my 440. LOL
