I love ford trucks myself. Ive had my 88 for 11 years and its been an excellent truck. I would look closely at the cab corners and floors on that truck as they have a tendancy to get ugly. I would run $2k by him and see where it goes.

building materials?  are you finally building a garage for your Charger?  If so good for you.  That looks like a perfect truck for side job projects.  I bought my 89 Ram 3/4 ton for $1800 2 years ago and it has paid for itself with all the hauling i have done with it after building a garage and an addition on my house.

The only thing I would be concerned about is the miles on the 460. A friend had one that went through a couple in the 3 years he owned it. Other than that if you can live with the gas bill it seems like a cheap enough truck.

I am a Dodge truck fan and would look for a older style Dodge from that era first.....but that is just me.
