Well guys and gals we started the rebuilt 383 last night and procceeded to do the cam break in.  all went well, 2 leaks (fixed) timming was almost dead on , carb tunned, and it sounds great. It has a decidedly more pronounced growl at idle and revs up to 3 grand smooth as silk. I can't wait to hit the streets/track and se what he does. It took 3 months to the day for the whole process. Pics will ne forthcomming.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

That is fantastic news John. Kelly says "Right on". I am glad to hear your best friend is healthy and ready to roll again. I know that has to feel good.
