I refound this picture from where my car had been and lived since new  .You wouldnt think a car over 22 feet would even fit in this space. It was one of those garages that had those barn doors. The nose was touching the front wall and the back barn doors which didnt fully enclose the car from the elements.Did however provide enough exposure to identify from the street what was hiding in the garage. The cinder block wall on the left side was the starting of the new garage which was being built

Cool.  Imagine how many other little dungeons that couldn't possibly hold a car are being bypassed everyday while some desirable rarity sleeps inside.
Didn't one of our mods (Chris) restore his car in some kind of similar barely big enough space?

Ghoste Ive seen worse garages that yielded rare cars .You familar with the garage that was ready to colapse that had a 440 superbird of Duncan A found in Canada many years ago .I have also seen pictures and the actual 426  hemi superbird.Where the garage roof had large amounts of skylight area.I still have pictures and copys of its buildsheet and 1973 dated past paperwork

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

wow, thats cool. it's hard to find lost gems in the inner city. there just no space that hasen't been looked in. Rene

Have you heard the story about the 1931 Duesenberg Jay Leno uncovered in New York City.  This has been in some of the magazines recently.   Some of this is paraphrased and there are more details, but the short version is that Leno has heard about this car, and on a trip to NYC decided to check as many parking garages as he could.  "Hey you got any really old cars in there?"    After checking about 16 garages and finding cars like 70's Ford LTD's, he hit paydirt.

The car was built in built in 1931, used for a very brief time--with only 7,085 original miles on the odometer--then it was left on the fourth floor of a leaky parking garage in Manhattan in 1933, where it remained for 68 years. For some reason, the wealthy but eccentric owner didn't like like the car, and he refused to pay the parking bill.   Leno found the car covered in dust, but was told it was not for sale.

Until he could do the deal, which took some time, years, I believe, to keep others away, he told a story that the parking garage elevator had been replaced and was 1 1/2 feet shorter than the car -- if anyone wanted it, they would have to dismantle it. Well, the story worked, and after paying the hefty parking bill, he owned the world's only surviving unrestored original-owner Duesenberg.

Leno has ANOTHER barn find Duesy that he bought from an estate in California.   Car had been parked in the same now elderly owners garage since 1947.
