I'm about to redo my headliner and I was wondering if anyone here had gotten theirs from year1. How was it? It's $70 in the catalog.

I got from YO. No prob about the product, and instaled by myself... is not easy if you don't have idea about how to do it thougth. I never have done it from new, but removed and installed the old one two times and that helped on learn how to do it.

surprised anyway about the color, but I have learnt that on 3rd gens white is not HARDCORE white.

has anybody replaced a headliner with a sunroof in the equation??  i need to replace my headliner - but my 1974 charger has a sunroof.  do i buy a regular headliner and cut out the sunroof part??  it seems difficult to remove the sunroof interior molding - so i can get the new headliner in place.  any suggestions??  thanks

Does anyone know how to tell it it is a 4 bow or 6 bow headliner? Do they mean 4 or 6 seams?

I think it is the number of seams yes.  You can feel the headliner there are metal bars inside it.  Those are what you want to count.  I want to say that the 6 bow headliners were only in 71 but I could be wrong, all my 73s have been 4 anyways.

yep I would let a pro do it shop arond I got several quotes of $250 if I brought in the headliner a local shop did a great job for $175 and it was well worth it.  I installed my own in my 72, cut it twice and the thing was still to short :rotz: :icon_smile_tongue:

:iagree: I think 6 bows are only on 71. 72 and laters are 4.
