Color choices...help a ADHD guy out ;-)

Well. My new garage is almost done and I believe..... I have my fingers crossed.... that this winter I will be stripping down the Charger and fixing her up...

Not much is needed, Just clean up the lines, remove and possibly replace the vinyl. Patch up some small sections and painting the engine compartment. A 440 or 383 may be in her future as well... So here is the thing. I like the Y4 paint on her, but I'm a sucker for high impact colors... So here are the plans.

Clip the car, remove the engine. 6 pack hood <almost done with it> relocate the battery in the trunk, Hide all the wires and vacuum lines, sand and clean the engine compartment, Repair the small imperfections in the body, then paint the car....and here is the problem.

I have a plan of action, except the color of the car. My ADHD is a bitch I can't stay on one color for more then a week. so I would like some opinions and pictures...

The interior is staying white and black. So what do you think?

Orange body, white top and white stripe.

Orange body, white top and no stripe.

Sublime with hard top and white strip.

Sublime with hard top and no strip.

Silver hardtop with Red stripe

Silver hard top with no stripe.

R/T clone the car with any of the color combonations?

Yea, I'm a B5 Guy myself....that being said, I think all Black w/a white interior or the Hemi Orange w/ white would look great.  Are you gonna black out the 6-pak hood or paint it the same as the body color?

sublime on 68s and 69s just doesnt look right....  i'd keep it the original color or B5.

hehe wow, a lot for Blue. I didn't even consider that color because around here there are a ton of blue cars. I'll have to think about that.

That's the only pic I have of the DMCL Charger on my computer. I do have more pics of someones clone of that car on another disk. I think that would be the best choice myself. Not as many DMCL clones around. And you already have the slotted wheels I think the color is Curious Yellow? I'm not sure, but that is what come to mind. Someone will correct me. I will look for the other pics unless someone else posts them. There was a post a while back I got that pic from. I just down sized it.

if it were me  i would paint it the original  color, looks a good combination all  ready . what about  Q5 paint - white interior- black top and a  dark  red stripe , or  B3 paint -white interior- white top - red stripe ,  hard to make a choice as they look awesome any color combination  to me  .

I would go with a Kosmic Krome Silver from house of Kolor with a phantom R/t stripe of a darker silver color and black gator/lizard vinyl top!!

Well it depends, do you want a clone? to the die hard MoPar enthusiest we would know if it wasn't an R/T just by the "XP" instead of "XS" (quite obvious). Some people will care, others won't... My opinion, who cares.... It's your car, if you will feel better putting on the R/T badges so be it. Your choice.

As for the color, I'm partial to black. For example, I'm half done restoring my 69 Charger. The original color was B7 Meduim Blue Poly with B7 Interior. It isn't an R/T or matching numbers, so I'm painting black with a black interior with a Red or Flat Black 70 R/T stripe. It had a built 440 HP engine, but I'm not putting on any R/T badges. But that's what I like... So do what you think looks best for you. Remember, don't make it so everyone else will like it, make it for yourself.

I was thinking about the whole CLone thing, and I honestly don't think I'm going to badge it. I know I'll never sell it as a R/T... If I was ever to sell it, but I don't want people thinking that i'm trying to pull one over. But thats just me...

I have a long way to go, as a few of my plans got a kink in it, I'm looking for another motor, The one I had hoped on fell through... ohh well. These things happen. It's just gonna put a bigger dent in the project.

I'll figure it out. But for now. thinking about the color and seeing the different idea's is cool
