Nacho-RT74

Today is my Birthday and on all these last days I have being thinking a lot about my life, what I have made and what it rest...

I remember when I was a kid I dreamed that after the school I would enter in the University and would finish my profession in 5 years, and then start to job. Maybe between 28-30 YO being married and on 31 with my first kid, wishing first a girl, then a boy or twin boys... In my own home etc...

Ok I arrived to 31 and what I have made... yes I started to study architecture at the Central University here ( not easy to enter by the way ), but quit since I notice on future Architecture depends of lost of ppl to become your dreams true I don't like to depend of another ppl. Beside that professors didn't help a lot to keep in University in love with the profession. I still like Architecture thought.

Then on a Sting concert down here back in 94 ( I was at university on those days ) I was looking at the Sting rodie, the same guy of the life videos I have seen since always and I told to mysefl I WANT TO BE THERE, ON STAGE... I remember that I wanted at first to be a musician, but local bands have a hard time to arrive to success EVEN HERE. I didn't want to be a failed musician, so I started on think on something similar on shows bussiness, SOUND TECH.

Well, even I haven't studied that stuff on a decent school, and didn't get the title for some personal problems with professors resting one month to graduation, I can say I made it. I have been ON STAGE, and not only on any stage, I have been 7 years later of Sting concert on 94, again on a Sting concert but this time at the other side, ON STAGE. Also with Alaniss Morrissette, Yes, Metallica, Ricky Martin, Kool & the Gang, Mana, David Coperfield, Gilberto Santarosa, Juan Gabriel, Joan Manuel Serrat, Alejandro Sanz, Collective Soul, Oasis, Five, Cristina Aguilera, Ruben Blades, Los Pericos, Paralamas do suceso, Fabulosos Cadillacs, etc... of course lots of local good bands. Of course being part of the crew not the main tech, but mostly being in charge of the stage monitor sound system.

When I was I kid, my dad took me to several Car shows and I remember when I was 10 YO I told me to myself I WANT A CLASSIC CAR to rebuilt and join bolt by bolt, no one specific car to choose on those days even my prefferences were oldies 50s ones... Ok I can say that I made it with my Charger, never thought on the way I did from a friend's dad who died and I bought it to help on funerarian stuff since they didn't have enough money, but still, I made it. Still want a 50s oldie one LOL... maybe 57 Custom Royal Convertible or Belair or Corvette all 57s ( who doesn't ? ) Also would like a 30s pre IIWW one.

About Love... I have gotten NOTHING from love beside frustrations... nothing more to say about that, just that still in love ( I think ) with my Ex girlfriend Vanessa, but after some ghostly ( I think I invented that word LOL ) close up last year, it looks won't be again with her. Who knows, destiny plays in misterious ways and suddenly everything can be twisted.

Independence from my parents and my own Home... what Can I say. is REALLY hard to make down here ( to not say impossible ) and year by year becomes on a harder stuff to get. Maybe if I had finished architecture I would have more money LOL.

So I can say, I have done several stuff I liked to do since kid, but not on the way I dreamed ( I feel oftenly like Charlie Brown about that LOL ). I like my proffession but doesn't have a tittle, My car is there... I won't talk about love LOL  , so without that I didn't got married and childrens, not even My own home.

Ok, Now I'm here talking to you, and amaizingly sharing with you part of my thoughts. As my new avatar says down the pic, I have learnt that Mopar FAN shares the F of a FRIEND, more that any cars fan in the world and I have confirmed more day by day with time, not only here on board, also with local Mopar fans down here allways ready to help. I think oftenly even not only on Cars world. I think is something similar to Harleys Owners Groups. My car is like it is just because YOU ARE HERE and I'm here with you. Without you guys, never had made it... and still rest.

Thanks to you and to all ppl who reads my thougths

One think is sure... I'M REALLY PROUD ABOUT MYSELF, ABOUT MY MORALITY AND WAY TO THINK and won't be corrupted.

MAYBE I can say, like THE RAMONES... "I don't wanna grow up"

Gee, thanks Nacho. I WISH I was 31. If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself when I was younger.
I actually had a good time this weekend. Saturday I took my Dad to the Craftsman trucks races at New Hampshire International speedway. Today I took my 72 Charger to the All Mopar Show at New England Dragway. Got to hang out with some great board members from DC.com and moparts.  :2thumbs:

Anyway, Happy B- Day Nacho, even though we have never meet I consider you a good friend.

Happy Birfday Nacho!!! Don't worry too much about wife and kids, that might happen before you know it. Sometimes is meant to be that way until he knows that you are ready. I got my bachelor's degree in architecture and when I got my diploma, jobs were kind of scarse, so I ended up taking some civil engineering courses and ended up as a project engineer for a construction company and I love my job! Sounds like you have a good career. It's never to late to change if you really want to.  Happy birthday and many more! :icon_smile_wink:

happy birthday to ya natcho.. being 2 years and 2 days older than you (my birthday was friday) Ive had alot of the same thoughts as you recently. ironicly we are both in the same line of work, however i have not made it to doing shows for big name bands yet. I envy you for being able to make a living at it.

when i was in second grade (is that 8 years old?) I told my mother that when i grew up I was going to be a mechanic, a stock car racer, a truck driver, and play in a rock band.If i remember correctly my mom said that was an awful lot to accomplish .  my mom passed away 2 years ago, but i am happy to say that she saw me do all of those things except drive trucks, altho i did drive them some when i worked on them. I too have acheved most of my goals, having muscle cars was something I always wanted. and ive had some cool cars, and some really cool race cars. I guess my only regrett seems to be the same as yours natcho that love has not ben verry good to me. My mother wanted to be a grandma, more than any of the things that i knew i wanted in my life, I wish i could have given her that. I did have a fiancee for 10 years many of them not my happyest, she could not have kids however. I guess looking back that was a blessing.
so natcho , we havnt talked alot , but seem to share alot of the same kinda life and intrests. Dont worry about what you dont have in life, enjoy what its given you! and hey  being older than you , you cant grow up till i do !!

RD

man, i cant believe i didnt see this!!!  :o

Happy Biday.

i'm 31 also.  and my dream when i was a kid was to have a 69 Charger and my own Garage to work on it in by the time i was 30.  I made that goal by the time i was 28.  now my new goal is to get that 69 Charger on the road in 5 years or less  :o   we'll see how it goes.
