In 69 was a resonator installed on the hemi's only?  Or the 440 also?

Hemi only......

Doesnt mean you cant install them

Oh I know....the thing is that the exhaust I installed has a 2.5 inch pipe and the tips from year one say they are 2" i.d.  I figured the 440 must have came with a resonator then.

Origionally the tailpipes should be 2¼"    The factory 2" ID tips will fit.

I got my 2½" SS tips from www.manciniracing.com   Only difference is that these tips slip over the pipe
