1964-65 273 heads

I always thought all 273 heads were the same from 1964-1969 or the last year they were made. Now while just looking and reading about the old motors I seen that the early 64-65 heads took 5/16 bolts for the intake and were on a different angle as well. Any old timers here that can clear me up on that ? I was a baby back then and don't have a clue. I do know the old wide ploy 318's were different but I always thought the 273's were the same.

yes the early 273 heads used a different intake bolt size & angle

Can a newer type of intake still fit those heads if the intake holes were massage open a bit ?
