I've got my door blasted and read to be primed, but I want to install the window mechanisms inside before I prime the outside of the door. I layed everything out and first installed the vertical bars and the stabilizer bar. Then I put on the pivot bracket, then the regulator. I'm pretty positive of all the mounting area, except I don't remember how the regulator bolted up. When I get everything in, I try to use the hand crank and as soon as you start to move down it binds behind the regulator and pushes up on the inside of the door panel like it's about to burst. I tried to follow the 73 body manual, but the illustrations are so horrible it's not much help. I don't want needs to be tightened first or loosened, to get the proper adjustment. I'm going to install the glass after I make sure everything moves up and down freely. Then do the final adjustments when I hang the door back up. Do you have any hints of where to start when reassembling the windows? What should be tightened and what should stay loose?

Regulator itself is not used on to aligning job. as far I remember the regulator is attached on to door with 3 7/16" bolts once you fit the crank on to hole, but you need to locate the chanels first and then insert the rollers on to chanels to fit regulator.

You can keep some loosen the chanels untill regulator is tight without problem, but I would recomend tight them after fit the regulator on any position to fit the glass, because with channels "dancing" around will make hard to fit the flass, and probably easy to fall and brake. Then start to align.

I was able to get the regulator/stabilizer channel in and working properly. I will put the glass in when I hang the door back up and properly align the door. Now I need some parts and can't find them. I need new fuzzies for the top of the window. I also need new rubber bumpers on the sides of the door. I've got a new set of door weatherstripping. I didn't notice the rubbers bumpers or fuzzies for a 73 Charger in the Year One catalog. Where's the best place to get it all? What is the name of the rubber weatherstripping that goes on the back of the bright door belt molding? I saw door belt weatherstripping in year one catalog, but it says 4 pieces or 10 pieces. I thought there was just one on each door.

weatherstrip denomination on resto dealers is:
-Glass weatherstrip-------------some ppl call it cat wiskers or window fuzzies. they are the ones attached on top of door and inner upper panels.
-Door weatherstrip-------------The one that runs down and sides of each door
-Roofrail weatherstrip----------The one that runs along door jam, A pillar post and roof up to quarter glass end/C pillar ( B pillar on SEs )
-Vertical quarter seal----------- The one atached on chrome moulding attached on quarter glass.
-Door end caps------------------ The ones attached with phillpis screws on top of door, in front meeting with door jam/bottom of A pillar post, and top rear one, at the end of the door weatherstrip.
-Quarter Jam seal--------------- Attached on rear door jam, above door striker. Where quarter glass enters when is rolled down.

My sugestion... GTrestoration.com

FORGET YEAR ONE about the window fuzzies ( glasses weatherstrip ), they really sucks, not even close to originals and holes doesn't match ( personal experience ). I don't know what's the manufacturer.

They sell 4, 8 and 10 pieces:
4 pieces are only exterior fuzzies, to all 4 windows
8 pieces are the exterior and the interior ones that atachs on interior upper panels.
10 pieces is same as above but including the sail panels.

GTrestorations sells the complete door weaterstrip set, including door caps ends as a kit. They are steele rubber made, but when I bought, GTresto had them cheaper.

They also sell the vertical quarter seal, also steele rubber made, hard to find.

Same about roofrail weatherstrip and trunk. GTrestoration have them.

Only weatherstrip I still haven't found new repros are quarter jam seals and hood seals. Once I found the quarter jam seals new repros being sold, but got a virus on PC and lost all the info.

Door bumpers. I bought them here in Venezuela NICE ONES by the way, I don't really know where to find them up here.
