I don't know if you are going for originality or not but the original carb for that engine was a Carter AVS.  The Thermo-Quads started in the early to mid 70s I thought.

TQ started to be used in competition on 69, but on stock cars on 70 ( specially on 340s )

If you want to know where is the TQ PN stamped... mounted on car is on rear driver side corner, bottom section of body.

I thought it was 71 when the TQ first appeared on 340's and 72 when it began to be used across the board?

Nacho-RT74

At least down here in Venezuela we can see Coronets "R/T"s assemblied with 318 and 4bbl, and as far I know carb used was TQ ( 4000 series ), so I'm pretty sure TQ started to be used on stock cars on 70 maybe E bodies up there.

What is a fact, is also 71 Chargers assemblied here with 318 4bbls ARE TQ equipped, maybe erliers with 4000 series and laters with 6000 series.

First use of the TQ on production Mopars was '71 on the 340, see the link I posted.
