Well guys, I really did it.  I put her on EBAY, you can check the new section on this forum for the link.

THis really sucks!!!!!! :flame:

I am shopping for another project, a fury convertable or a dart, duster or something like that.  I have pushed this to the end and I  really dont have an option right now.  I just hope the guy who gets her will appreciate and respect what she has become and what she stands for. :icon_smile_sad:

You can bet that my questions will becoming to you fast and furiously when my new car is bought.  Although she won't be a charger.  One day I will get another 69 and hopefully never part with her.

Take care you guys from a very, very upset Charger owner. :flame:

Thy guy who buys it will most likely be as appreciative as you were just to have it.. :yesnod:

A lot of that going around lately.... I put mine on e-Bay Monday night. Very mixed feelings about doing it, but with my son in first year of college, daughter in last year of private high school followed by college, and a mortgage that could choke a horse... options are becoming few and far between.

I know what you guys mean. Everything keeps going up but the salaries!! and it's tough with family life and other responsibilities. I'm trying to find a hidding place were I can hide my Charger for when my daughters are ready for college and the wife goes out to the garage and says "no problem, there's the start to our college fund sitting in our garage!" :rotz:

I'm working on a plan already. Maybe having some of you guys call my house and say " I'm calling about the Charger you have for sale, I want to make an offer of $ 1,200 for the 1968 Charger"  :icon_smile_big:

Then you'd be in trouble for spending too much money on your resto. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well to answer one question I never gave up on the charger, rather the opposite, she is almost done.

My company which I worked for for 16 years was bought and then raped for its resources and closed up in downsizing.  We then opened up our own retail outlet, but first years and second are rough to say the least so this money will be going to the endurance fund for the business.

Heres a note though, I found what I always thought was a cool car, a 64 Dart Wagon for $900.  It has a slant six and is in reasaonable good shape.  With a rebuilt tranny, upholstery and a go through on the engine for a few thousand I will be driving what I think is a pretty sool and seldom seen car. Crazy huh! from a 500+hp Charger to a slant six wagon.

Thanks for all the thoughts and support.  My Charger is what it is because of all of you guys help on all my questions.

Take care

Mike and Tom,sorry to see your Charger's on the auction block.
Tom, I know what your talking about with college. My oldest is a junior at UNH and I'm determined to get him through college with out a student loan hanging over his head. And after seeing the price for parts at Carlisle I was contemplating selling my 71 Charger (keep the 72) and buy a Mach I project car where I can order the parts I need out of catalog.

I sympathize with your situation, I just don't understand why someone would sell a car to get money because they needed it, only to buy into another expensive project...

IT SOLD , but why did you lower your buyer it now price ? In fact why did you even have one-I would have waited and see how high it would have gone. Anyways I bet who ever got has a great car. Wish It was me.

To tell you the truth the waiting was excruciating.  The guy who bought it promises to garage it and respect it almost as much as I do.  The buy it now button was a way to end the agony.

I am numb all over knowing she is leaving. :-[ :rotz:

You are right the guy who got it lives in Burbank and is about to have one sweet ride.

Again this really, really is depressing :icon_smile_sad:

take care from a former Charger owner :rotz:

Sorry to hear you sold your Charger. There will be other projects ,and, if you build them like the attention you put into the charger , that should be a sweet Dart wagon.
I just want to know where this mindset about no college loans for children was when I went to school. I guess my parents missed it, although Mom was all about her son attending a good school.
I got a typewriter for graduation of highschool and that was about it, as far as support for college went. :-[

My poor future children will be looking at a student loan bill just like I did. Apple doesn't fall far I guess ?

It is hard to give up ones dreams & can be hard to find the energy to start them again , it took me a couple of years to get my head around selling M y Cuda after building it from the ground up so I can relate , I haven`t found another project to sink my teeth into since , fortunatly my finacial hardship is suffered only by me as I will never have kids
I am glad I could help along the way though

TeeWJay426

That's too bad, although your financial situation will be easier now. Mine didn't sell, so I have the mixed blessing of still having it but existing in a financial quagmire..... may try a couple other avenues to sell it, may try the R/T next, who knows..... :shruggy:
