This is what I think I'd like to do to it.

This car is unbelieveable! One of the nicest Coronet ragtops I ever saw, just too expensive for me.

Sahweet.  :2thumbs:

Too xpensive for me too.    I could go pick up a 67 300 440 console rag over by the shop for a whole lot less.   But I won't do that either  :-\

He should have used the Fel_pro #1215's to keep the paint from burning off the intake. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

 Are you selling a ragtop?

God looking car but why did you start this thread? Then again, why did I answer?

Ken,

Yes, after several years of parts gathering & a year of trying to decide whether or not I get it fixed, I'm bailing on it. I got an estimate from Auto Rust Technicians for about $4500, & decided to put that into my other car instead. (The Coronet I'm selling is listed in the classified section btw.) I still have my Satellite ragtop with a much better foundation to start with, & it needs a lot less. I'd actually be $4500 ahead without spending a penny. I figure what the Coronet would cost in comparison, I could do a lot more with the Satellite like a big block swap if I wanted to. I can't help but scan eBay to see other Coronets. It was always to see color combinations or to get ideas, but lately it was to see what they sell for. Seeing the black one all finished like that will almost make me regret letting it go. But if I weren't in over my head with projects, it wouldn't be for sale.

Want a ragtop Ken?   :D

I would love to have a vert B body, but I am in the same boat as you.  I have a convertible E body I have been working on but when I see the prices they are getting for these I kkep thinking I could do a lot with an extra 20k.

No dumpster Ken, (lol)

I have some replacement sheet metal parts already, like both front floor pans from Year One, a clean, used tail panel, & one clean, OEM original quarter panel. Also the fenders, doors, deck lid, trunk floor, rear frame rails & hood are solid. They were going to install the 2 floor sections in the front passenger compartment, supply & install 2 front frame rails & torque boxes or repair, install 2 quarter panels (The 1 used one & one aftermarket) sub frame connectors, & strip/blast the car & it would be ready for finish work, prep & paint. The mechanicals on the car are all there, but it's been off the road for so long it will need to be redone. There are just a few things missing that are not a big deal, but that's for the next owner.
