I am trying to route the wiring from the trunk light switch on a 70 Charger. Where does the trunk light switch wiring lead to???

And also how does the switch itself screw into the base in the trunk????
The hole does not seem to be threaded????

I don't have a '70 BUT I own a '69, Mine didn't come with the "trunk light" option but I found a "donor" mopar at a favorite junk yard,
removed it ,   LIKE YOU SAID the hole isn't threaded  mine wasn't either, The switch ITSELF is somewhat able to "provide" threads as you install it, But you need to put a little pressure on it as you turn it in. I was able to do this and had little difficulty :icon_smile_approve:

on the '69, the wiring goes to the tail light harness at the front  behind the drivers side "kick panel" . You'll need a that "special" I call it the special wiring adaptor plug ends connector to which it plugs in the tail light wiring harness.  I just might have confused you didn't I?

I'm not sure what the question is.  On my 69 charger the switch goes to the trunk light.  That is the end of the run.

good luck
