I just installed American Autowire, Factory fit.  OEM/Restoration Division, www.factoryfit.com.  Beautiful and easy for my Chevelle.  I don't know if they do dodge, but mine are to factory specs. using original GM componets.  Otherwise I've used and spoken with some real pro's at Year One, unfortunately they are limited.  So I found a few parts still made by Chrystler today.

Good luck

Last time I checked the Painless kits are "assemble yourself", meaning you have to modify the kit to fit your needs... Whereas a Year One harness should be ready to go.

Chargerman68, Check this post out I posted some info that anyone doing re-wiring can use http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,9816.msg128983.html#msg128983  I ordered one of those Mini 21 Circuit Harnesses it fits what I need to install in my car, If I replaced the harness with a factory one I would have to add a few circuits for the items that the factory harness doesn't have, I have an GM alternator and a custom dash so what I have is different than the factory setup and my fuse box will be mounted above the E-brake area, and I will still have the bulk connector for the factory plugs under the hood.

I have the Year One harnesses (made M&H I believe) in my car from front to back and although they were a little more money, they fit, function, and appear as the originals (except newer).  Everything was just plug and play.

what does it cost for the harness?

41husk, you didn't specify factory or aftermarket, but Aftermarket ones start at $121.50 and up the factory ones I don'tknow I'm sure they cost more.

the painless is just a generic kit , no factory plugs or bulkhead conector everything has to be terminated , the YO kits simply plug in to the existing wires & factory monuts
they are not even comparable
