Anybody have a flame thrower on their exhaust

Was looking at E-bay and seen this kit that will cut off your ignition for a second and fire a spark plug that you screw in your tail pipe so a flame will shoot out from the tail pipe -item#200017536369. Does anybody here have this or something like it ? I think it be kind of cool so long as nobody gets hurt.

It's a street rod thing - you don't see too many muscle cars with it.

It's my understanding that there is enough combustible remnants in the exhaust to make them work. The "cutting out" the motor makes me a bit leery of the product and the effects it may have on the motor.

if you dont do it right you can blow shit up. Mufflers dont care for it too much either I found. I had them on my 64 Polara. Check your local laws too. it can be illegal.

Well its goes after the mufflers and Summitt has a unit also Its $200.

I am sure its illegal on the street ,cops here might throw me in jail for assault or something like that. I would just use it on private land but still . If I don't get it thats why, it be too temping to fire it on some tailgater

just have a points distributor ignition and wind the motor up good and high, shut the key off and quickly turn it back on................. it will backfire and should shoot flames out the tips.

And blow your Holley power valve.      While I have no idea where to find it in my statute book, I can't imagine them being legal either.  But they ARE really really cool.  I'm thinking flamethrowers on sidepipes vs. a carjacker...
