Well, the whole deal with the team in Michigan fell through, so I moved back to Florida.

It turns out instead of having sponsors, a couple cars on a transporter on the way, and a tire sponsor, we had nothing.


I had been on the fence between doing drifting and oval track racing for a few months now, but since I had a 2 day trip ahead of me back home on the Greyhound bus....lets just say I had plenty of time to think.

So, it's gonna be Stock Cars from here on out.  Luckily I also have a backup plan: I'm gonna try to go to the NASCAR Technical Institute next spring, hopefully via some student loans.   If I can't get the loan, I'll just take a Automatic Transmission course at the local Community College and do some racing down here.   With the "World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing" taking place at NSS every speedweeks here, I might be able to get noticed.

That stinks- Good Luck on getting that student loan its not easy.

Not sure if you would have like cold upper Michigan aways-I live by Detroit and its coat time allready. I myself would enjoy Florida much better-you might have no idea what 20 below zero is and if you don't great= you are not missing anything.

Are you trying to become a professional racer? what are you going to race with? can you just walk in with ANY stock car?

I'm wanting to go the pro racer route, but almost all of them these days had their parents paying for everything when they were younger; I definately didn't have that luxury.   So I've gotta do everything on my own, no biggie though, I've been doing that for awhile now.


these are the track rules for where I'm gonna be racing at, in the Strictly Stock devision (second to last set of rules on that page)

they're doing strictly stock trucks this year as well, until there's enough of them, then they're getting their own division.
