I will be getting my taillight molding pieces rechromed soon but have no idea how long the stems are supposed to be that extend from the rear of the trim since all of the stems on mine are broke.  Anyone have any idea?

Kurt, they sell those repro now as well....might be more cost effective instead of repairing yours....

Unless you are referring to the chrome rings around the taillight lenses them selves.....if so those little tabs cant be more than ΒΌ" long.....

Yeah, im referring to those rings around the tail light.  Got my hopes up thinking there were repops  ;D

So the tabs shouldn't be more then 1/4" long?  Seem quite short.

Kurt, usually its the other way around where the tabs on the taillights where the holes are for the studs break off.

What I have done is used a bit of clear slicone to secure mine to the taillights....been on there like that for 4+ years now with no troubles.....

yeah, many of those are broken also.  Some of the tabs on the rings are completely gone so Im hoping to get some welded on when I rechrome them.

Yup, Starman. Those tabs are only about 1/4" - 3/8" inch. I've glued them before with clear 2-part epoxy, that also holds up well.
