So I installed my Edelbrock Carb, and have questions about linkages

I removed my 6 pack and installed a new Weiand Intake and Edelbrock 750 Carb. I purchased the Chrysler bracket that is needed for the carb as you can see I installed that already. I now need some help selecting the correct kickdown linkage and throttle brackets, and any other parts needed.

1) I believe that I need the throttle cable stud to mount to the carb.
2) Possibly a new throttle cable. (is mine too long?)
3) throttle cable bracket (Can I buy an OEM style one or do I have to get one from Mancini Racing?)
4) kickdown linkage...I'm clueless on this one. The orange bracket thats on the linkage goes with the 6 pack. Where do I purchase?
5) fuel lines. I'm going to use rubber hose just to start it up but then bend a custom fuel line to the fuel filter.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.



What type of cam do I have? Can anyone tell from the purple markings?

1] you will need a stud , possibly get one from a local wrecker they were used for decades
2]your Throttle cable si fine Longer is not a problem
3]Mancini may be the best bet to get a correct one
4] Not sure where to buy new ones
5] I bend my own steel lines from the filter to the carb as well

Can't help ID the cam, as Mopar Performance has a bunch of cams known as "purple shaft" cams, at least they used to.  Also, if you don't want to deal with having to bend your own fuel lines just buy a pre-fabricated reproduction kit from Year One, or something-it's not that expensive...

looks like he has the adapter in place.

the throttle/kick down stud could be used from the 6 pack set up and the throttle cable should work as long as you can find the hold down bracket that bolts to the rear intake bolt.

if you don't have a tubing bender you can use a bottle or paint can to make your bends in your fuel lines

looking at the photo it appears you have the 3 piece kick down set up. it has been awhile since i owned a six pack but you may be able to use the kick down linkage from the six pack to that swivel on the back of the engine then the only part you would really need is that throttle cable bracket that holds the throttle.

Since that is a fairly low rise manifold you might get lucky and be able to use an OEM throttle bracket.  Mancini should have stock replacement throttle bracket kits since they carry the Hoffman's Winners Circle line of products.

opps   i thought the kit included the stud        have a look at  www.edebrock.com   they list some chrysler adapters  throttle / kickdown .

ordered all my linkages but have yet to find the correct fuel lines. will I have to bend my own?

Again, no problem with the fuel line. Just order it from Yearone.com. Year one will have everthing you need. They are not the cheapest, but you will find the parts. The markings only on the front of the cam show it could be a "Purple Shaft" from Mopar. I have dealt with Purple Shafts and notice the same markings. I have no experience with the Voo Doos. So you have me there. yOu might want to find out what cam you have. That will tell you what to expect for idle vacum, gearing and converter choice. Remember, an engine is a package deal. All the parts must match.
