Where is everyone generally mounting their MSD?

I ask because as I am looking through the stack of photos I've taken over the past year, I notice a few multistrike boxes sitting up on top of the inner fender and some cars with no ballast or ecm but no visible box.  Which means they are being tucked away someplace.  So I'm just wondering where most of you prefer to install it?

I don't have a working windshield washer system, so I took off the reservoir on the passenger inner fender and mounted the box there...

Ghoste

Those are the fairly obvious spots, I guess.  My own is mounted under the washer bottle.  Going by my pics, Brock's would count as hidden.  Didn't really shoot any photos of the front of the rad supports so if there are a bunch of others putting them there, then my original question is answered.

Well the trunk is the best for hidding it and MSD tech says it work fine back there as long as both the pos. and neg. are hook right to the battery. I am to busy and lazy to move mine :-\

I mounted mine on the inside of the passenger side front fender. I wanted to mount it on the firewall but was afraid I'd mess up the heater core with the self-drilling screws.

depends what people want , I have mounted them under the dash completely hidden , under battery trays or in plain sight
I don`t Hate MSD , just had a lot of problems with the boxes failing

I mounted the first MSD AL7-2 Ign. Box in trunk, sadly this ign. box died later, cause of death is still under debate... You can mount it in ex. the trunk, only thing to remember is to use ticker wire gauge...

I later bought a MSD Digital 6 ign. box. I mounted it on the driver side fender...

I have my ignition box mounted on the inside of the firewall behind the glove box.  There is lots of room up there and it is a lot cooler than under the hood.  Heat kills electronics.

Ghoste

Is there space above the heater?  (obviously there is if you have yours there, but I never would have thought of that)

I've seen a few up under the battery tray. I like the firewall inside right by the incoming air opening.

Mine is going on top of the heater box hidden away under the dash. It'll be wired into the harness' and all the single point hardware will still be visable so it'll look correct.....but it'll be upgraded.

It looks like I'm the only one with it on the Drivers side fender.  My windshield washer resevor was gone, and I put the new universal one up in front of the radiator support on that side. Ofcourse, sorry - mine is a Mallory CD box, I left the msd in the nova.

I don't think I could have gotten one between the headlights and rad cradle.Ā  The rotating headlight buckets in the 1st gens don't leave much room there for other parts.
