No, I am not looking forward to the Knight Rider movie but when it comes on TV and there is F all else on, I'd watch it.

I'd say the same for the new ChiPs movie coming out.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0493405/

Now, if they are to remake old TV shows into movies - I'm crossing my fingers for an XXX / Comedy version of the Facts of Life!   :D  Picture Tootie goin' down on Natalie and getting her braces caught in the thick bush and Mrs. G walkin' in.

Now, as far as the coolest Trans Am, my vote goes to the one in Thunderbolt & Lightfoot.   :yesnod:

does anyone else remember the knight rider 2000 movie?  Devin dies, and kitt's brain ends up in a 57 chevy at some point.  He gets transplanted back into the t/a at the end.....

I loved that show when it was new, and I was a kid, but try to watch it now?  un watchable!!  the worst acting on the face of the earth.

I would hope that this remake would be better....

actually, they stuck him into the Pontiac Banshee concept car......if they had kept making T/A's, that was what it was going to look like.

That was kinda funny!

I'd watch the Night Rider movie, no problem.  I liked that show as well.  I don't have any desire to have one of those T/A's though.  I'd like to have the Smokey and the Bandit 1 edition.

I'm with ya dkn1997. I have to admit when I was a kid, I loved this show. I think it was on at like 9:00pm during the weeknight right after A-team ha!  As a kid, you have different taste. Like you said, as an adult, i think it would be unwatchable. I don't think i would even watch it as a rental.

Here's a pic of it with one of the few Chargers also in, "McQ":

IIRC this scene is from the part when the Duke was chasing the badies who were escaping in a laundry truck.

That charger looks identical to mine!! Wow!! Did anyone see Caddyshack? I watched it yesterday and noticed a yellow 3rd gen charger in the beginning.

I saw that car also.  It was yellow, as you had stated, at the begining of the movie when Danny is leaving the house on his way to work.  Very brief.

I dunno, I'm kinda stoked after reading that. :icon_smile_approve:

I was worried it was gonna be in the vein of the Dukes remake. ::)

Camp with extra cheese and a side of fart jokes. :D

But it sounds like the KR movie would be gritty and intense. :icon_smile_cool:

Also saw the they are working on an Equalizer remake. :2thumbs:

That might be pretty sweet too. :yesnod:

Just wondering.  I am a huge fan of the show. I hope the movie doesn't stink! I hope it isn't a BIG dissapointment like the Dukes of Hazzard movie was.

That's the only Trans AM I have ever loved!

Are you kidding? it has no chance of not stinking! Look at almost every sngle other TV based flick, its overwhelming odds. I remember looking so forward to the Lost in Space movie in 98 and coming home crapped out. Lets see, The Avengers, Mission Imposible, all the STNG movies and series, DOH, Thunderbirds, Wild Wild West, the list goes on and on and on......I am crossing my fingers on the Simpsons movie coming soon though....

BTW, my favorite firebird was always Rockfishes....yea!, spin it around again Maverick!

just digging up the relevant thread rather then reinventing the wheel...

Ummm....ok....if you say so.  :shruggy:

How a Mustang, made to somehow resemble a Night Rider is "Relevant" to an actual Night Rider movie thread, must have went right over my head.  :scratchchin:

Brock Samson

new knight rider movie?.. being filmed now?... using a mustang instead of the original firebird?... nope no connection?.  :-\   :icon_smile_wink:

dkn1997

New knight rider show with a mustang?  Why not just use a chevy impala for the next dukes movie?  jesus christ, you remake a tv show where the car was the star of the show and you don't even use the same model car?  I know they don't make a new transam, but couldn't they us an 02? or maybe even  new camaro when it comes out?
