Just wondering.  I am a huge fan of the show. I hope the movie doesn't stink! I hope it isn't a BIG dissapointment like the Dukes of Hazzard movie was.

That's the only Trans AM I have ever loved!

This is the first I've heard of it. My opinion??---> Yeesh. Do they seriously need to remake every corny old tv show?? ::)
I think they should remake The Rockford Files. :yesnod:

BTW, this Trans Am is better that that one.  :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Exactly. The 400 was the T/A motor in 1969. And yes the 1969 was the best year for the T/A, followed by the tuff 1970 version. The 1973 SD455 was a tuff item also. Little work and they'd embarass most cars. Last hurrah for the Poncho engineers.

Dukes of Hazzard:
Personally I like the remakes of the old movies takes us back to great times Except the Remake on the Dukes of Hazzard. Now that had some great stunts but the Actors should have stayed the same as the series as an Anniversary Edition or to continue the series. Why? Look at all the years went past, some of the actors past away..
I think old movie remakes are cool. Look at the legend the films leave behind. Alot of car Replicas are out there now! Especially The Amazing General Lee replicas, Smokey & the Bandit Car, Knight Rider, Starsky & Hutch Keeps the old muscle cars alive and worth $$$$$$$$$$$   For instance look at the General Lee replicas, They are holding their values and soaring to the top in prices..  But although those Good ol' Boys were fighting the system can't forget that they gave to charities also. So this show gives you some Down home American Values other being the Flashy Orange Attention Getter...
Also I am sure everyone has heard of "Bucky" Phillips in New York State. Maybe they Should use the General Lee To out run this guy? The Reward for conviction right now is the highest I ever seen, $225,000.00 For the capture & conviction of this guy...  It's kind of scary, Over 40 State police Vehicles and 100 men going to search for 1 man. Now does this sound Sensible? Thats tax dollars at work.  LOL!!!!

No, I am not looking forward to the Knight Rider movie but when it comes on TV and there is F all else on, I'd watch it.

I'd say the same for the new ChiPs movie coming out.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0493405/

Now, if they are to remake old TV shows into movies - I'm crossing my fingers for an XXX / Comedy version of the Facts of Life!   :D  Picture Tootie goin' down on Natalie and getting her braces caught in the thick bush and Mrs. G walkin' in.

Now, as far as the coolest Trans Am, my vote goes to the one in Thunderbolt & Lightfoot.   :yesnod:

There isnt anything futuristic about a new mustang either.

And to do a new movie about an old show you have to tie it together somehow.

Otherwise you do something really wacky.... and come up with a brand new idea.

New knight rider show with a mustang?  Why not just use a chevy impala for the next dukes movie?  jesus christ, you remake a tv show where the car was the star of the show and you don't even use the same model car?  I know they don't make a new transam, but couldn't they us an 02? or maybe even  new camaro when it comes out?

KITT was suppose to be a futuristic type car. There is nothing futuristic about a 1982 Firebird.

Well, if you lived in 1981....

I totally agree with Justin1987 (hey Justin, what's up man?) about the '82 T/A not being right anymore for KITT.
They should only keep the '82 T/A if the story stays back in '82.

And I can't say "back in 82" without thinking of Uncle Rico.

What if it was an 82 but the movie spent some time showing how the car is completley updated and tricked out in every possible way with new technology,  sort of a sleeper KITT.   Maybe the car gets wasted at beginning, he is getting blown away by a mustang or something equally crappy and humiliating,  in a street race he crashes, so they "rebuild" him,  car goes to shop with a montage playing, fast forwarding time, like in rocky or team america?   they show the engine going in, the new suspension, etc., show the car at the secret test track posting amazing times, then Michael is back on the road in the next scene in the new and improved kitt, a new shelby or ferrari comes up to stop light next to him and KITT says, "Blow his doors off Michael",   in his monotone voice,

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

KITT used to got destroyed and then rebuilt better-than-new about once every sweeps week.

It really got out of hand when they went to that Transformer-esque "Super Pursuit Mode" with all the wings & spoilers popping out.
