Ive got a 74 Valiant with a 318 and another 74 Duster with a slant 6. My idea is to put the 318 into the duster but while I'm doing this, is there any 4 spd that I could fairly easily mate up to the 318 so we could have some fun with it? (daughters future car) The duster currently has a 3 on the tree trans, so, since part of the clutch assembly (at least the floor pedal and such) is already there would it be a bit simpler or am I just dreaming? What tranny would I look for?  Any thing to be especially careful for? They are both so similar, I just need to do this...and then part out whats left of the valiant...Thanks.. :icon_smile_big:

A really neat set up for this would be an A-833 over-drive 4-speed out of an Aspen or Volare with a 318. It would give you all of the parts you need if its a complete car. Don't know the salvage yard situation by you but I have seen more then a few of these around here, plus they usually don't charge a whole lot of dough for these parts if its a pick and pull yard, good luck.
