Brock,

Yeah, I just heard it on FOX News.  Glenn Ford was really one of the good guys, both on the screen and off.  He was much more than an accomplished actor, he was a true man and an American patriot.  Gosh, it makes me feel sad and sort of old inside.  Guys like him are making their last ride into the sunset and there is no one to replace them.

"You know what I am going to do with that horse, Howdy?  I am going to sell him to a dog food factory, and I am going to buy the first can of dog food they make out of him.  And then I am going to find the ugliest, dirtiest, most flea bitten hound around and feed him that can of dog food.  And then I am going to laugh like h***!"

......The Rounders  (a must see for anyone that has ever lived on a ranch or knew a horse like "Ol' Fooler").

Rest In Peace, Mr. Ford.  You will be sorely missed.

May God bless America,

"He is credited with being the fastest "gun" in Hollywood westerns, able to draw and fire in 0.4 seconds, he was faster than James Arness (Matt Dillon of "Gunsmoke" (1955)) and John Wayne"

No way!!!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

You know it seems a lot of the good male actors of yesteryear were a man's man. Most of the actors today are nothing but pretty boys. It is really hard to take some of the movies seriously when the leading male actor that's supposed to be a tough guy but looks like a wimp.

Example: Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Leonardo DiCaprio in Gangs of New York.

Glenn Ford kind of reminded me of country singer Tom T. Hall. They both just did what they did, and did it well, with little to no fanfare about it. I like celebrities like that, not the ones who always have to draw attention to themselves. I appreciate the fact that he also served our country when he was needed. How many modern "stars" do you think would go do that? A couple maybe, but most would be not only frightened to death, but unwilling to lose their Hollywood power...We really have lost more as a country than just the generation of Jimmy Stewart,Glenn Ford & Cliff Robertson... :patriot:

Also, although born in Quebec, he served with the Marines and U.S. Navy in WWII, French Foreign Legion, and two tours in Vietnam.
