I noticed a 68 Charger while at lunch in a fenced area of a body shop. I stopped and talked to the body shop owner and he said the car was a former employees and that he wish it would be gone. He knows there is no title and the former employee stopped in a while ago and said he was coming to get it months ago. I looked at it and it has a 440 though it was coded XP29H8 I believe the vin tag was barely readable. H is 383 car is nt it? It is really rough the quarters may fall of when it is moved.  This is what I noticed that was usable the Interior (black seemed good the seats were really nice but the consol was missing. the rear window trim seemed good the body panels doors and trunk and hood are bad. The gauges are there though.

Let me know what else to look for and I will stop back and try to get a few pictures. If I can get him to get the owner to sell I will need to no how much (I do not want to keep it but would sell it off or part what is good. ) The 440 and 727 is intact who knows about running.

I just wanted to see what else I should be looking for part wise as I have a 71 and do not know as much about these ones.

I will check on the grill, and as far as the 440 running I have no idea? The shop owner said the guy brought it there will working at the place and has moved.

H is 318 I believe. If you can get it cheap enough I'd say grab it for parts.

terrible one

Wow. I have no idea why I typed a J. I looked a picture of my VIN tag and thought that the F was the one for the engine code, and somewhere my brain messed up.  :-\

Where is the car located? Can you find out if the guy wants to sell it? Email me: ybachert@ptd.net
Thanks!

Car is in Ohio I am trying to get the owners info from the body shop owner. H did say that the last person offered 500.00 for the car and the guy was offended at that offer. I got a few pics I will post in bit.

There seems to be a bunch of people who get offended if you don't offer 10k for the rusted project that was worth 5k more than you offered 10 years ago when they set it aside to rot :rotz:

lol, it will buff out... nice  :P

Im not sure what it would be worth, but think of it this way, if you get it for cheap enough you have a 383, and parts

Also, if Goodmark gets their thumb out of their butt, you will have full OEM 1/4 panels that you could put on it if its not totally worthless.

If you do buy it cheap and part it out, I'll be first to call dibs on the rims. ;D

First thing is it has no title and that makes it worth the sum of its parts. You could build it up but what if a previous owner appearers with the title? I would offer $2500 MAX if the frame is solid and if that isn't enough just walk away..it could end up a real headache.

I'd be overjoyed if I got more than $2k for that. The grill looks very nice from what I can tell, and if it's as nice as it looks it's worth $600-$800 by itself.
