Ok fellas...tis the season. I'm posting this now to give everyone a couple of weeks to sign up. Here's how:

1) Go to Yahoo Pro Football Pick'em (you will need a Yahoo account)

2) Click the yellow "Sign Up" button. You will be directed to a "Terms of Service" page - Click on "I Accept".

3) Click "Join Existing Group"

4) Then click "Join a Private Group"

5) Enter the following:

Group ID#: 17641
Password: 426hemi

6) Enter the name you will be using (try to use the same one you have here, so we know who's who), then set your preferences.

7) You're in!

Remember, football season starts on Sept. 8, so hurry up and sign up now. In the meantime, please post your suggestions in this thread, as far as the rules we want (ie. spread/no spread, etc, whether we should drop the lowest scoring week, etc).

As of now, I don't have any prizes yet, but I'll see what I can come up with in the next couple of weeks. Last year Alenglish won a kick ass 1:24 Muscle Machines Charger.

you basically just pick the teams you think are gonna win on that given week. Some knowledge helps, but you'll probably do just as well by picking them at random. As long as you never pick the 49ers or the Dolphins   , you'll do fine.

to sign up or play? signing up is pretty easy once youve got your Yahoo ID. After that, just click on the link and follow the steps i posted above.

As far as playing it, we're trying to keep is simple, so you should be able to figure it out easily...if not, just ask and we'll help.

I'll be joining again this year.  I propose we do it with no spread like before.  Though I'd like to see confidence points this time, what do you guys think about doing that?

Count me in. Last year I wasn't doing too bad until late in the season. I don't recall where I finished up but it was in the lower half of the group. Which is about where I"m at in the Mopars fantasy nascar league too.

The Dolphins beat Denver, who kept us out of the playoffs 2 years ago, so I'm happy.  Now, if only we can beat the Jets on Sunday.....  I must pray to the almighty Gods of football.

remember high school and college, where the teacher would drop your lowest test score? This kinda the same thing. Your two worst weeks wont count at the end of the pool. In fact, I believe that it already shows both standings - total points and group points.
