MOPARHOUND!

I've only seen them with the ball stud that the Z bar rides on.

What is this bracket, secured by a bolt, placed over the top of the ball stud??

Thanks.

*Speed costs money son, how fast do you want to go, and for how long?"
*"Build the biggest engine you can afford the first time."
*"We normally wouldn't use a 383 for this build, parts and labor for a 440 cost the same."

That's considered a "Ball Stud and Bracket", and it's used to re-position the location of the ball stud.  I've seen them mostly on A-bodies, but the ones I've seen look different than that one.  I'm sure other applications used offset brackets, and some even need spacer blocks too.  You can find them in the Parts Catalog under Section 6-52-10.

I know on a '69 B-body, the ball stud just screws into the hole where the bolt securing your mystery bracket goes in.  With your bellhousing, the ball stud is located a little lower and to the rear of the vehicle than that bolt hole - necessitating the need for the offset bracket.  I'm not sure of the application you have there, but that's essentially what it is.

It was on a shelf in a junkyard when I found it, so I don't know what application it came out of.
