Anyone using Centerforce Dual Friction and/or Centerforce flywheel?

Local machine shop has a NIB CF flywheel and NIB CF DF clutch that a local hotrodder bought and never used.  I can have both (which retail for $700) for $500.   My clutch pedal is missing the over center spring already and using a CF would save me $60 on a new one.  I drove my friend's car with it and it seemed pretty good and I'm inclined to take the deal but wanted to run it by you guys for your opinions.   Rearend is 3.23 and engine is a basically stock 440.

I used a Centerforce DF in my Hemi RR and loved it, nice pedal feel and no slipping..
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I wouldn`t touch it if it was free , I have nothing but problems with the overpriced CF products = I Hate the feel

If you use it..... install a rev limiter the pedal may not come back up after a high RPM shift

:iagree:

That's happened to me now three times with my Hemi over the last 4 years I've had a CF clutch.  I can't wait to burn this dang thing up and go back to a good old McLeod.

why not just replace it now Before the hemi gets hurt ???

The clutch still works, just not like I want it to.  I have learned my lesson about how that clutch acts, so I just haven't done any WOT speed shifts since the last episode.  It will get changed out someday, trust me.

If it went south on me, then I'd have to change it - problem is, I don't want to intentionally abuse the clutch to make it go out, since I'm apt to hurt the motor just like you said.

I'll get tired of it sooner or later.

Thanks for the input.  Did you remove the OC spring?

My pedal returned just fine with the OC spring installed but the spring gave the pedal a "notchy" feel so I removed it.

The instructions clearly state that the spring will have to be removed in some installations.

Keep your OC spring , pitch the CF clutch & install a B&B or B&B/Long
