Poll: 71 R/T or 72 Rallye doors....

Had to do it (was kinda challenged in another thread!). Forget the other differences (yes already, the 71 side markers are cooler ). Which doors are FLAT OUT cooler? Sorry, I don't have pics, can someone post some please and thank you. Let the race begin....

Without a doubt, the 72 Rallye doors. I`ve never seen a set that i didn`t want to buy.

Even though I prefer a 71,73, and 74 charger over a 72 I like the 72 rallye doors better than the 71 R/T doors.

I like them both, but I own a 72 rallye car now, so my vote goes to the 72 doors.

As an owner of a 72 Rallye, I have to say that these doors are it. I do like the 71 R/T doors also, but on a side by side comparison the 72 Rallye doors make them look cheap.

A friend had a 71 RT Six Pack car, and the one door was actually a flat door that he took to a body shop and they added the RT vents! You couldn't tell the difference! Call some good body shops in your area. I think it's a better idea than welding vents in.

I like the 71 r/t,gives the impression that your looking at a great white shark.Very aggressive.The ralleye is ok,but is an attempt to become more passive.Maybe for insurance purposes.To bad they didn't do anything for a 71 superbee.

The point here is that its just a base charger door,nothing special.It could of been more. Thats all.

I'm agree, only difference between superbees and the rest is the unique hood insert, rest are part of one or another models.

Can't believe it's this close! I've had both and 72 is my choice, by far. They look best from a rear/side view of the car...

and follow the body lines... IMHO R/Ts ones CUTS the body line continuity ( what doesn't mean it looks bad either )... of course is just an opinion.

Exactly!!! The way the Rallye door vents have the same 'barrel' shape as the body is awesome! Brings out the body line BIG TIME.

Heck, I made that post cause I really thought it would generate more 72 votes.  Instead more 71s came in.  I didn't vote and I don't really know which look better.  Maybe the 71 cause it breaks up the lines of the car in a mean way -- maybe the 72 cause it flows better with the body style.  It's fun to compare the different sides of 71-74 b-bodies and e-bodies.  What makes me sad is the drop in performance through those years.  Kim

The performance drop is an issue with these cars (I guess), but unless you have more money than brains, pretty hard to use a 440 as a daily driver these days! I'm not one of these guys that buy a Mopar, park it in the garage and then TELL everyone about it. Not the purpose of a car.

Hey 71 RT, not eating crow yet. Don't get me wrong, I've owned a 71 RT, love them, just love the 72 doors more. Wish they would have done a cool hood insert in 72 though. Oh well..
