Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

don't hold me to this....but I believe it means that the maincaps are bolted from side to side (like through the sides of the block) as opposed to bottom to top......other wise...it means the same thing as "crossthreading"....lol    I've seen some  Hi-po Fords with the maincap bolts through the sides...which is why I think that......correct me if I'm wrong though

TylerCharger wins the cigar.  Sometimes you will also see it described as cross-tied mains.  Basically, it's a four bolt main with two bolts coming in through the bottom where you normally see them and two coming in from opposite sides of the block.

Thanks for the pic and the responses. I finally spotted the bolts in my big block mopar performance book.  Just a little tough to see and I'm getting old.
Have a great day
