Proper wire routing for horns and windshield washer?

The horn wires and windshield washer wires run together behind the alternator.  What is the proper way to run them in order to be factory correct?  Over the upper rear edge of the alternator, or under the alternator?  On my '64 Plymouth, the wires are on the underside, but not sure what is correct for a '68 Charger.

They run basically at the bottom back side of the alt. I have 68's.

Thru the 3 fingered clip attached to the back of the alternator

I've seen these clips advertised, however the only place I can find on the alternator where there's a hole to attach the clip,is at the top.  The wire just doesn't appear to have a "factory correct" appearance up there.
