Will the baseplate & lid of a Ramcharger Hood air cleaner assembly (single 4bbl) fit a 1971 440 Charger that has A/C? I have a chance to get the hood and all components but do not want to give up my A/C. Every Ramcharger hood I see, the car does not have factory A/C.

Is it the air cleaner or the hood ductwork that interferes?  In any case, I think there are aftermarket brackets available today that will let you keep the a/c unit aren't there?

I think you would need to change to the smaller Sanden compressor. I've seen them used on air-grabber & shaker cars. On the plus side the Sanden is lighter and can handle higher revs and horsepower.
