I'm taking my 71 R/T to Larry Lyles (LPL Body Works) in Amarillo Texas next month and I couldn't be more excited! I live in Cincinnati so my trip back from Texas will be with an empty car trailer. If anyone has a need for the open space please let me know!

Do you know the days you will be in Amarillo??  That is where I grew up and I will be there visiting family quite a bit in the next month or two.   :2thumbs:

ds440,
Funny you ask, yup its the gun metal R/T but, soon to be black. As you probably know I have the blue 72 Rallye w/ B5 interior. I've always (since I was a kid) wanted a 71 black R/T Charger. I almost made the decision to change the 72 to all black but realized that would be a mistake on such a rare car. I basically pulled the R/T for the dead and after hunting and replacing all the rare parts (hood, hood louvers, R/T door, both front fenders, and a quarter panel) I decided this would be my black R/T.

I'll keep everyone posted with plenty of pics!

I know a great guy in Ohio needing a dodge magnum GT hauled from Dallas area.  PM me and I will get you in touch with Bill.

Keep in mind,  Amarillo to Dallas is about 5 hours in a car.  So pulling a trailer would be more like 6 or so.  Just FYI.

Larry Lyles is one very experienced auto restorer!!  You are very lucky to have him restore your car.  I have his book Project 70 charger

Other than his Charger, are there any other Mopars out there that he has restored??

I see he has three books on restos.  But what I was wondering, is there any other Mopars that he has done??  Has anyone seen his work up close??

Rallye -- When you find out what dates you are going to be in Amarillo let me know!

Larry is a top notch guy. He does a lot of different car restorations. He comes to El Dorado every year and is great to talk to. You can ask him questions and he will give answers.

You can't go wrong with a black Charger. ;)  Yeah, I remember you saying that you pulled that car out of a field.  What are your plans for the engine/trans?

If you need help, let me know.  I'm only a mile away - LOL. ;)
