318/904 from a 1983 Ramcharger for 1970 Charger (until 440/727 is ready)???

I have a 70 Charger 500 with a stock 318/904 in it.  The engine is weak and the 904 transmission slips.  I am rebuilding a 440/727 for it but will be next year until it is ready.  I have a chance to get a 318/904 from a 1983 Ramcharger (all rebuilt) at a low price.  My questions is --will the 318/904 from the Ramcharger drop without any problems?  ie transmission linkage for stock floor shift, hoses, and etc.  I would like to run this until next year when the 440 is completed.  Any help would be appreciated.

Is the Ramcharger a 4x4 or 2wd? On motor the oil pan, motor mounts, and exhaust manifolds are different so you will have to swap them over and if its a 2wd the tranny should bolt right in if I remember right and of course all the little things that you will run into that you never forsee but otherwise it should be no big deal.
