Does anybody know what the paint code is for the grille frame on a '69.  I know it's a satin black but I don't know what to have my painter use.  Any ideas?  In case anybody is wondering about the part I'm talking about here are some pics.

Hi B5 Charger,In the other post about epoxy primer I spoke about the lower line of PPG called OMNI,the OMNI black epoxy primer dries to a look of satin,so would be perfect for the grille support,(you have to epoxy it anyway),and even better,2 coats and your done.If you are not happy with that  look, you can scuff with a scotch brite pad and use black base coat followed by PPG FLEX-n-FLAT clear. This clear is used for those applications for flattening. There is a tech sheet on how to mix it as to get it flat, satin, semi, eggshell, etc. The nice part about doing it with this is,when you clean it,you are not rubbing directly on the "flat" black pigment that could possibly make a shiny spot, depending on what you used for the black.
