Progress Report

Well after having the 69 for @ a year now,  I finally got around seeing if it will fire up.  This is mostly due to a mutal friend who is a mopar nut.  This guy came over and was telling how it was wireded all wrong and starting pulling wires and moving things all over.  Once that was done we bought fresh plugs and new points.  Yes the local auto parts store had them in stock.  After priming the motor and putting a half of a quart of motor oil down the carb.  The beaset chruned and wined and finally RAORED to life.  This baby sounded good. 

I can go in and actually turn it on by the key now.  I am so pumped.  All my gauges came up.  That is Oil, temp, voltage and I think Gas will work once I put the tank back in, right I am using a 5 gallon lawn mover gas can.  The Heater blower came and I picked up my local AM station.

This week my buddy is bringing me spindles from from a cordoba I think it is .  Any way I will have the full setup for front discs.  I am pumped for that as well.

Oil down the carb? Never heard of that. You must have had a nice big cloud of smoke once it fired up.
