What about this one? :D

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

B5 Charger

How about using the old Charger red black and chrome arrow emblem.  It was used on all of the classic Chargers and none of the newer one's.  I always wondered why the old board used the pentastar instead of the arrow.  The arrow seems like the logical thing to do.

I like the idea, but separated, not overlayed... using the other Charger looks...

That was a good one to separate the classic Charger from the others: the arrow...

I think more common to most of us would be a guy standing at the parts store check out line with a credit card in hand...... :icon_smile_wink:

I just like the overlay look because that is the way Jesse did it on the old site (except of coarse he overlayed Charger over the Pentastar emblem on his)

Im sure Bill will come up with something that all of us will love. He's really great at this kind of stuff. Hopefully my sugestions helped.

I have one fact I'll share about Lizard's header and another "fact" I assume to be true but have no way of verifying it.

First off, headers that use the old English or Victorian script in newspapers are there to create an image of established experience, authority and history. Papers that use it typically have been around a long time such as the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post. It's a trick that typically tells readers that the paper is really old, well-established and authoritative. In my mind, when I see this type of script in relation to a car, I would think of something like a Model T or any other 20s or 30s vintage car. i don't think that type of script really fits the Charger's image.

Second, I believe that red and black Charger emblem was designed to look like a pennant or part of a coat of arms used by knights as part of their uniforms. This is the "fact" I'm not sure of but when I look at that emblem it appears to me that it could be a pennant like those we assume were flown by knights riding their chargers into battle. Just a guess but it seems logical to me.

B5 Charger

I don't care what the arrow emblem means historically.   All I know is when I see it I instantly think "Dodge Charger".   I don't see any reason to use vague symbolism to establish a visual concept about what the board is all about.   I think all of the knights, horses and fancy scripts would be confusing.   After all we are a classic Dodge Charger board.   At least that's how I see us.   Use the classic Charger emblem script with the classic arrow emblem and that will speak for itself.     ;)

BTW lizard I like your example.  It needs a little refinement but that's exactly the type of thing I had in mind.  :2thumbs:

Tell me this thread isn't dead.  Can anyone come up with some alternate headers using the classic arrow?   ???

Well at least the original header is bigger now.  ;D Thanks Troy.
