Another good Nationals. Had a good time. I went to Heath for the first time this year. I heard alright things about it, so I thought I would look for myself. It was the highlight of the trip. Heath was great. The town was packed with cars and people. Best Buy was the main sponsor. They had a large stage set up in their parking lot with a band. It was a good time. As far as Nationals I wish they would move it back to Indy. National Trail in Columbus is such a dump. The grounds are a dust bowl. And the track and stands are very run down. The track is also 20 plus miles from Columbus. It is usually a half hour drive to the track from your hotels. In Indy hotels and restaurants are 5 minutes away. Why it is still their I will never know. It takes me just as long to get to Indy as it does Columbus, so this has nothing to do with one being closer than the other. I just prefer IRP to National Trail.

I've got to agree with you, I just got back from the nationals yesterday.  I wish they would move it somewhere else,too- there's just not enough room for it at National trails, the grounds are all rutted up where they expect you to walk (always good for a twisted ankle) and do you think they could have cut the fu@#$% grass ???

The cruising and burnouts in Heath are terriffic.

Last time I was on Brice road it looked like the parking lot at a cop convention.

Despite these problems I still go almost every year, but I will say I enjoyed it more when it was in Indy.
