A/C belt hookup

I have another 70s car with a dealer installed A/C system that was installed in 1978. I've recently replaced everything in the system and installed it exactly how I took it off. I even bought the exact same compressor. The only thing I didn't have was a belt. The compressor has two grooves for belts, but uses only one. The furtherest one does not line up to any other pullies on the engine. The other one lines up with the crank pulley, alternator pulley, idler pulley, and fan pulley. Is that a common and acceptable routing for an A/C compressor, crank/alternator/idler/fan/compressor?  I tried to match it by the way my 73 Charger's A/C system is hooked up, but I couldn't find a diagram for that in any of my books.  I would've posted it on the Datsun forum for the type of car it is, but the members don't accept what I'm doing since I'm just making everything original again and not modifying it. I believe there's more knowledge here compared to the Datsun forum I belong too.
