I am trying to identify this transmission I recently purchased.  It was in an A body and has an A body tailshaft,  but on the box it is marked with auto wrecker pen as a B body trans with a price on it.  I am thinking the tailshaft has been replaced off it. On the left side of the trans body in cast raised letters are H4 C99129  On the pad is the last of the serial # and PP8332763.  It has a 23 spline input shaft.  It's that H4 $$$$ casting that has caught my interest,  but I am not familiar with 4 spds.  Thanks for any input

early B body 833 had only one shifter mount pad , it was infront of the mount pad & above the speedo cable,
A body trannys had 1 mount pad also just behind the mount pad
later B & E body trannys had 2 pads 1 above the speedo in front of the mount & one at the very rear of the tailshaft
yuo cannot swap tailhousings without swapping out the mainshaft in the trans as well , which would change the application from A body  to B or reverse

The partial VIN on the raised pad will give a good indication of the type car it originally came from, 2763 is the build date February 19, 1969 so it's from a '69 model car.

The raised pad vin # reads 9B38575  Would this indicate B Body?  Also reads by the pentastar 0309 so I figured it was a 69 model year.  Still not sure how you got that from 2763?  2nd month 76th day???  Looks like it has had the main shaft and tail housing exchanged to me.  Took it out of 74 smacked up A body with a 71 340  Still curious as to what the H4 casting represents. I'm thinking 440 & hemi.   Bunch of numbers on tail housing and inspection cover.  Another unusual part was a Hurst shifter that came with it.  It states a Hurst super shifter with yet more numbers and it appears to have a reverse lock lever of some sort.  Car was partially disassembled when I got these parts so I am not sure of the exact function.  Maybe I need to hook it up on the trans and check how this works.

B is the plant code for Hamtramck which built A bodies and B body Dodges in '69.

The build date 2763 is based on a 10,000 day calendar, you need the calendar to decode it:
