Title says it all.  Inquiring minds want to know Chris. ;D

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

If his reserve was 50k and the high bidder was 49,100 I would think an agreement could be reached...if Chris REALLY wants to sell!

I do have a few serious offers on the car.  Most serious is a guy from CA.  Supposed to be flying out to check the car in a few days.  He is offering what it would "take" me to let the car go.  I really have no need to sell the car or even a strong desire to.  Basically its "while the iron is hot" type of deal.
Trust me, no one was going to meet the reserve ;)

We'll see.........

Ahh, Chris, if you don't want to sell it, don't need to sell it ???

Wish we still had the smiley face's wacking the other one over the head!

He must be smoking some funny stuff.

Unless you want to take the 50g and redo another car, I think you're nuts to sell if you don't have to.   You'll get Charger withdrawals, go to Walmart and end up on the internet like this:

Good luck on the car sale 6T9.  Maybe you just need another project and something different.   :icon_smile_cool:

Seriously though Chris, I hope it all works out for you what ever decision you end up making. Good luck  !

I hope that you are prepared to "MISS" the car in a couple of months when it's  "GONE"!!   Are you sure you wanna do this Chris!?

You will really feel it when friends or family wanna go to a car show or rod run etc.,etc.!!

I can't help but feel that you're makin' a mistake.  Especially when you don't "have" to sell it.

Notice the lack of powder about the lip and chin area, and maybe some spilled jelly on the shirt.  Otherwise, it's Wackko all the way.

LOL...FYI (again!) the picture in my avatar is NOT me.  It's a good buddy of mine that works for Lighthouse Point PD.  I work for Broward County Sheriff's Office (as seen on Cops alot) and we wear WHITE (shoot me) shirts, not blue.

THIS is me (sorry so small, it's avatar sized!):

Hey Chris,

You know, you could sell high now, & when the market crumbles you can buy it back for less. This way you'll have money to put gas in that sucker.  :icon_smile_big:

Actually, I was kind of surprised to see you listed the car in the first place, but you're right, everything has a price. I told that to someone once about the Satellite ragtop I have. In itself, it's just a 318 car that still needs work, & not worth nearly as much as a big block Charger. But.... when they asked me what I'd sell it for, I said it would take as much money to buy mine as it would to buy one that's in mint, showroom condition, with a big block in it, & that big block would have to have the spark plugs in the valve covers. They said it isn't worth that kind of money. My answer was, that's what it's worth to me because that's the amount I'd need to buy the car I'd replace it with.

If you do sell it, congrats. If you don't, then hopefully you'll still enjoy it for years to come.

Hey Chris,

Thanks for answering my email last week. I've decided I just can't sell it. I know I would wind up with another and with this crazy market I'd spend all the profit from the first sale in the restoration on the other. I think I will stand pat.

Flying in from Cali sounds like serious business. Hope it all works out.

Wakko, isn't Broward County located in the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area? I'm just curious because I was down in Ft. Lauderdale, FL about a month ago.

Nope Ty, your still foggy. ;)

No connection between the two of us.  he was thinking of selling at the same time I listed mine.

Honestly, if I did let mine go I wouldnt be looking for another Charger.  Not tooting my own horn but it would be very hard to find one better than what I already had.  I would look for another type of Mopar........a 70 GTX 4 speed would fit the bill nicely!!

Yep, Ft. Lauderdale is Broward County and about 30 minutes south of where I live.  Lots of kids around here have Gopeds, I actually have one myself.  My folks live a few blocks away and I'll ride it over there.  Loads of fun.

Hey Chris, are you sure you're gonna stick with Mopar?  Didn't know if you like either of the big three.

Oh well...good thing I am not a detective.  :)

I can say after doing the '69 I will need a change of pace on the next resto as well. A '70 GTX 4 speed would be very nice. :2thumbs:
