Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share with all of you the fact that my Wife and I now have another Daughter!  This is our second Child.

Julia was 6lbs 11.5oz's when she was born Tuesday August 1st and she seems to be doing fine despite arriving 18 days early.

Julia's Mother is also doing fine after the 24 hours of labour.

However, her Sister Kristina was not too thrilled at first (see photo # 844), but seems to be coming around.

We are still working on the word "gentle" when approaching the newborn as she can get a bit too excited when it's her turn to hold the baby.

All in all, everything is good.

Here are a few photos for you folks.

Congrats.  The older didn't look to happy in that pic.  Very cute little one.  Have fun raising them.

My mother's mother had 4 kids all of them girls, she kept having baby's cause the father wanted a boy, well she gave up after the 4th one.

Congratlions wish her a long happy life.

No the other girl may not be happy, that sometimes happens at first but I bet in 10 years they be the best of friends.

Congratulations SHAKEY.   WOW getting the family going there eh?

My kids were all born practically bald...my sister's firstborn looked like she needed a haircut. :smilielol:

Congrats on your newbie!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Congrats! That is cool. My wife and I have two daughters 17 months apart. They are 10 and 9. In fact, it is the 9 year old's birthday today. :icon_smile_big: Kristina and Julia look very cute. Kristina won't like the attention Julia gets for a while, but she will come around.

Thanks for this fellas!

Yes, Kristina was a bit put off to say the least but as mentioned, she is coming around.  We knew to expect it, despite trying to get her excited about being a big Sister for the past 6 months.  When she came to the hospital to meet her new Sister, we had a new doll for her wrapped up like a newborn so she could "help" - she didn't take the bait.   :shruggy:

We got home on Wednesday night from the hospital and the Big Sister celebrations began.  We felt that the newborn had no clue as to what was going on so no harm no foul.  We have had a "party" everyday since Wednesday to celebrate the fact that Kristina is now a big Sister.  Something as simple as a cupcake with a candle and some balloons helped ease her into her new role around the house.

On Saturday we did have a real party, some friends all of the Grandparents showed up with food (the home cooked Italian feast was a gift from my Mother to me   :D ), champagne and a cake with Kristina's name on it.  There were more balloons and a few gifts just for her.  Things started to get better.

Unfortunately we forgot to get her a "Hall Monitor" sash.   ::)  With the slightest wimper from Julia, Kristina is roaming the halls looking for the problem.  She was in and out of our room about twice a night for the past week, checking to make sure everything is ok, at one point even offering up her security blanket - which is just unheard of!

As for the hair - not sure where that came from as Kristina was bald as an eagle when she was born and stayed that way until about 3 months.  As far as the looks go, let's just say I am glad the Children don't look like my neighbour Larry.    :D

No doubt - I am a lucky man.   :yesnod:

Thanks again!

I was told I wasn't too happy at 3 years old when my sister was born. I don't remember, but it makes sense since the oldest isn't the center of attention anymore. That's probably why I threw her pacifier out the window too.    :shruggy:

I figured it was God's way of getting back at me and my two best buds.  All three of us have known each other for 25+ years and bedded our share of girls way back in the day.  One guy has 4 children, 3 of them girls, the other fella has 2 children, both girls and now I also have 2 children, both girls.  When I called them to inform them of the news, they laughed.

Congrats again Mike. Had to search for this thread after you told me last night.

Your older girl looks like you alot.....but in a feminine, not scrounging through wrecking yards, kinda way  :icon_smile_big:

Mike is a devious Mopar fantatic everyone....the baby was due around this coming weekend, which coincides with Canada's largest Mopar show "Moparfest". Somehow Mike got his wife to deliver early so he could make the show.....sheer genius. :yesnod:

BTW....I'll keep my boys away from your girls  :nono:
