Differences between 440 air grabber base and 383 base?

There is a difference between the 440 and 383 air grabber base in the 71-72 cars.  Can you use a 383 base with a 440 car?

yes there is a difference the 383 base is about 3/4 " taller to reach the hood seal
do I need to answer the second ?

383 base on a 440 engine is going to bend something. It shoves the air cleaner up into the hood to far

I figured that out,  Thats why I said it will work but I will have to do some cutting.  I'm really not as dumb as I look :icon_smile_approve:
